Power leveling Arc to level 80 (or beyond, but this only covers to level 80) is a serious commitment. It is going to take a lot of time, dedication, and FPs. For this time period you will effectively work solely on Arc, and nothing else. You will eat, sleep, and breathe Arc. You, my friend, are entering Arc Life. Hashtag that, it’s going to be that intense. So before you start, make sure you are absolutely ready for this, and that you’ve completed the necessary prep work to start this journey.

Before we get into the nitty gritty, know this: you can pause at any time to take a break, so long as you aren’t leaving your Power Arc holding investors (known henceforth as investors) with FPs hanging out in your Arc, waiting for you to finally get it leveled. Try not to leave investors’ FPs tied up in your Arc for more than two days, maximum. Ideally you’ll level in less than a day, but that’s not always going to be the case.

Second major point, and this cannot be stressed enough: Do not unlock your levels ahead of time. Seriously, just don’t do it. This only invites people with Power Arcs (or even those with non-Power Arcs but that are high level) to step in right after you level and lock you low, which will cost you thousands of FPs if you’re not careful, trying to make up that difference.

With that out of the way, lets get to the fun stuff! The speed run of getting to be a Power Arc holder!

To define, a Power Arc is achieved when you hit level 60. At this point you will be able to break even locking other GBs at 80% (so a 1.8 multiplier on the reward offered). 80 Is the goal level, as beyond this the reward boost percentage stops increasing steadily enough to really justify a lot of focus on Arc, at least for the time being. Plenty of players go on to push past 80, sometimes even past level 100 with their Arc. But that’s a really tedious grind, and won’t be discussed here. If you can make it to 80, you’ll have plenty of knowledge and know-how to get beyond it, for sure.

To review:

Rates are determined by Arc level. For a level 60 Arc, if the first place reward on a GB is 100fps, they would get 180 back because of their bonus. This goes for medals and BPs too. All you need to know is your Arc multiplier, and you can calculate the reward. In this case, level 60 has an 80% bonus. So you need 100, or the 1.0, for the reward itself. You get 1.0 (100%) of the reward. Plus, you get 80%, or .80, so 1.80. Using the same math, if an Arc has a bonus of 85%, then your multiplier is 1.85.

Now, ever onward…

Step one to this process is finding investors who are willing to work with you. They must meet some criteria:

  • Each investor must either be in your guild, or on your friend’s list (or both)
  • Each investor must have a minimum of a level 60 Arc, but preferably level 80+ (You’ll typically only have below a level 80 investor if that’s all you have access to, because the next requirement is break-even for them)
  • Each investor must agree to lock at a minimum of 1.8

You’ll want 5-6 investors total, to make this process go smoothly. No more than that though, or it’ll be too much competition to secure spots regularly (which might get them some profit, depending on what rate they lock at). Make sure they’re not in enemy guilds, because all these investors also have to be able to work with each other, too.

Start a conversation that includes all of your investors. Give it a catchy title, so they know what they’re looking at, and to make it easier to find. Now it’s time to get to work.

When you are ready to open a level, post in your conversation with your investors, stating that you’re ready and that you need to know who is available to lock. You need at least two on at the same time before you unlock. Do not unlock and open the level until two investors are on at the same time to drop in their donations. They will state in your conversation that they’re on, and call spots to take. When two are on simultaneously and ready to go, then you unlock the level, self-donate if necessary to make spots safe, and they will add in FPs. If you are really lucky (and self-donate enough FPs to make it safe), you can get third locked in the same way. Having 1/2/3 locked instead of just 1/2 means that it will be easier to get your Arc leveled and ready for the next round.

Not all levels are going to require a self-donation by you to lock 1/2, and depending on the rate (1.8, 1.85, or 1.9), 3 might be able to be locked without a self-donation, too. This is known as a clean lock, because no FPs need to be invested into your Arc to make it safe. Safe means that a spot can be locked so that no one can add in enough FPs to push the investor out of their donation reward spot. Thankfully, there are some handy reference tables at the end of this to help you out with knowing where the clean locks can be had, and how much you need to self-donate if that isn’t the case.

During the speed run, which is from levels 31-80, you will see your Arc level multiple times in a day potentially. This means you might need to self-invest a lot in one day. You’ll either need a huge daily collection (150 FPs there-about), or plenty of FP Packs stored up to cover this. If you followed the prep work nicely, then you likely have plenty of packs saved up.

Ideally, before starting the speed run you want to meet the following:

  • You make around 100 FPs a day, minimum, between daily collection and otherwise. This can be accrual by the hour, GE, etc. It takes a lot of FPs though, so you need an adequate source.
  • You have enough BPs to unlock to at least level 45 when you get started, but ideally to level 60. Once you’re a Power Arc it will be easier to snipe Arcs to get more BPs if you need them, but having them in advance is better. If you followed the prep work, you probably have a lot of BPs already.
  • Your city is self-sufficient enough that your other game activities won’t suffer, and you won’t struggle to meet guild requirements.
  • You have the time to invest into this. If you’re at a point where you can only get on twice a week, you might want to wait.

It’s called the speed run because of how fast it moves, at least to about level 65. When your Arc hits level 65 or there-about, you’ll slow down again because you need more and more self-investment to make things safe, and there are so many more FPs to get in there to level your Arc. The final grind from 65-80 can be a real chore, and by the time you get to 80 you are ready to drag your weary self across the finish line and work on another building… finally.

There are three typical lock points that your investors will use. The most typical is 1.8, because they will get the greatest profit. Anyone who won’t lock at 1.8 minimum you don’t need, by the way. At least not in your group. If the investor really likes you, they may bump that donation amount up to 1.85. They won’t make as much in profit, but it means you need to invest less to get your Arc to level, which means it goes faster. And it’s just a nice gesture. The ideal lock, and not seen often outside of your own guild mates, is the rare 1.9 lock. This is the break-even point for a level 80 Arc, which means that an investor is probably sacrificing their profit for you. Some guilds have a requirement that if you’re locking another guild mate’s treasury building with your level 80+ Arc, that you must do so at 1.9, no profit. So it’s more common to see it from a guild mate than otherwise. If you have someone willing to do that who has nothing to do with your guild though, cherish them forever because that’s an amazing gesture. Unless they’re like a level 100 Arc, in which case they are profiting. You get the idea though.

The trick is knowing how much to self-invest to make it safe, especially if each person donates at a different rate. Eventually we’re hoping to put a calculator in here to make this easy, but until then the formula you need is as follows:

Key:
A = Cost to Level
B = First Place Reward Lock
C = Second Place Reward Lock
D = Third Place Reward Lock

For just a 1/2 lock:
A-B-(2*C)=Self Donation Necessary
Example: 1670-819-(2*414)=23 (See Donation Rate 1.8 Table, Getting to Level 32)

For a 1/2/3 lock:
A-B-C-(2*D)=Self Donation Necessary
Example: 1799-909-459-(2*153)=125 (See Donation Rate 1.8 Table, Getting to Level 35)

The beauty of these formulas is that they work regardless of the rate. So if you get first place locked at 1.8, second place locked at 1.85, and third place locked at 1.9; you just plug the numbers into the B, C, and D parts of the formula respectively and do the math, and it will give you what you need to self-invest to make all three spots safe.

If you get a negative number, then that means it’s safe for a clean lock.

You may need to be up-front with your investors and ask what rate they’re able and intending to lock at for each level, in order to figure out what you need to self-donate. Unless of course you have trust built-up with your group of investors, and they know as soon as they donate their FPs in, you will immediately make their spots safe (if a clean lock wasn’t available). The first time an investor gets screwed and sniped though, that trust will be revoked (and they may leave your group), so absolutely make sure it cannot, and will not, happen. Someday you might be in the same position, so the golden rule really applies here.

Then, once 1/2 or 1/2/3 are locked, farm the rest out to your guild, FL, or otherwise. Level it as soon as possible. Often at higher levels, this is relatively easy because the rewards are very desirable.

So aside from the math, it’s really a pretty straight-forward process. Let’s get to the reference charts now, shall we?

Each chart is going to show you the following in relation to achieving each level (so getting to level 31 means going from 30 to 31):

  • Total FPs needed to level the building (Part A of the formula).
  • FPs to lock First (Part B), Second (Part C), and if desired Third (Part D) on your building; at a specific rate per chart.
  • How much will remain for your guild or otherwise to get it to level after either 1/2 or 1/2/3 are locked (so there are two columns)
  • The self-donation needed to make 1/2 safe, or 1/2/3 (again, two columns).

You’ll really only need the formula if you’re being locked at multiple rates in a single level. If all your investors do 1.8, then you can just follow the chart.

Please note that for the charts on 1.85 and 1.9, some of the values with the multipliers come out with decimals. Since you cannot donate half a FP, or a quarter of one, etc; these charts have had the totals rounded to the nearest whole number. This may cause the math to seem off, it’s okay, that’s why.
